So it’s been ages since I’ve blogged But I figure now’s a good time to get started again.

This past weekend, some of the ./shutdown folks and I went to the fabulous Las Vegas and met up with some Soulgeek folk. Needless to say, it was a blast!

We started on Saturday night by meeting up with some friends for Dinner and then hitting Sapphire. Spent way too much money, then slept it off.

The next day, we went to the Soulgeek convention at Quarks. It was really neat meeting everyone who we have been chatting with so long. Dino was of course the life of the party and when I walked in, Mattzog had the crowd enthralled with a story. We didn’t ride the star trek ride this time, but we got nice and toasted on plenty of warped core breaches. We finished the night with dancing and good conversation.

The highlight of the trip was this place called “The Gun Store”. Let me try to express my love of this place in English words: OMFG! GUN STORE FTW! L0Lz!!11!!1!juan!!1!!

This place was nothing short of…impressive! I’m talking everything from small 9mm uzi’s to massive M249 SAW rifles. Yes…I said SAW. And you can shoot them! All of them! For a nominal fee of course. This is the most fun I’ve had at a gun range in a LONG time. We blew away targets that looked like Larry the Cable Guy and Mario Lopez. It was a straight up viceral thrill. Especiall for a Texican like me.

I’m working to edit the season finale of ./shutdown. Notice I said “working to edit”. That means I’m not editing yet. Why? Because I’m copying gigs and gigs of video files up to the server before I can even start working on it. I’ve been doing this for 3 days. ARG.

I love HD, but I hate the fact taht it takes forever just to get the files anywhere because they are so big. Well, as some old colleagues of mine would say, “That’s a good problem to have”.

Played some paintball today with the cast and crew of ./shutdown. We had a blast One thing that will always bug me though is when they put all of the noobs against all of these seasoned experts with 2K guns and the noobs just get pwn3d.

I’m not making excuses. I got plenty of kills I just feel bad for the poor 15 year old kid next to me who gets lit up by a fully auto autococker.

One thing that’s always fun is seeing the little welts the next day. Each welt has a story of how you got hit. Maybe it’s the masochist in me, but that’s one of my favorite parts of playing. Talking about the games after and being reminded. Of course, the soreness isn’t fun! I’m not as young as a I once was.

Well, I’m off to buy the 3rd season of the office so Michelle can work with Pin in peace. Late!

I got one of these bad boys for xmas from my job:

It’s pretty slick. Not only does it wake my lazy butt up, but it works as a digital photo frame, plays MP3s, and plays DIVX. How cool is that!?

I just loaded it up with several pics, but I think I’ll leave the movies off of it for now. The only bad is that it doesn’t have it’s own memory, so you have to use a USB key to hold everything on. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient.

Well, I’m off to bed. Laterz!

I’m taking my cast/crew to play paintball this weekend. Many of them for the first time. It’s been at least a year since I’ve played. I’m excited! We had a funny scene where they were all wearing paintball gear but using nerf guns. Now they’ll get to experience the “real” thing. Well, as real as paint bullets get
